Free community dementia education courses in Central Queensland

Are you caring for a loved one who is living with dementia? Dementia Australia is holding free community dementia education courses for residents living in Central Queensland who are living with dementia, their families, carers and friends.

There is estimated to be more than 82,000 people living with dementia in Queensland. Without a medical breakthrough, the number of people in Queensland living with dementia is expected to increase to more than 116,000 people by 2028 and more than 207,000 people by 2058.

Dementia Australia’s community education offers support for Queensland residents living with dementia, as well as their family, carers and friends who are also impacted. Courses provide carers with an opportunity to meet with others who are sharing a similar experience, allowing time to socialise and share important links to local support services.

All community education is delivered in a friendly, safe and supportive environment by trained Dementia Australia staff.
