Free Community Training Workshops 11 August

Build your skills, strengthen your organisation, and increase your community impact with our free training workshops and information sessions for community groups, clubs, and not-for-profit organisations delivering activities, programs, and services across Knox.

Designed for committee members, volunteers, and community leaders, these sessions cover practical topics such as managing conflict, recruiting and retaining volunteers, and supporting someone through a difficult time.

As well as gaining valuable knowledge and skills, you’ll have the opportunity to connect and network with other local organisations, share ideas, and build stronger community partnerships.

Community training calendar – September to November 2026

Managing Conflict

Build your confidence to handle challenging situations. This workshop will give you the skills and confidence to respond calmy, safely and effectively.

3Rs of Volunteering – Recruitment, Retention and Reward

This interactive workshop will provide practical ideas to strengthen your volunteer recruitment and support meaningful engagement, recognition and reward

Date: Tuesday 29 September

Time: 6.30-8.30pm

Venue: Knox City Council, 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South

Building Aboriginal Cultural Competency

This session will build your knowledge of Aboriginal history and the impact of colonisation.

Facilitator: Koorie Heritage Trust

Date: Tuesday 10 November

Time: 6.30 – 9.00pm

Venue: Online

Workshops are delivered by expert facilitators and held either online or at Knox Civic Centre. All workshops are free to attend. Registration is essential. Book in early to secure your spot.
