Hargreaves Street Mall and part of Williamson Street will come alive with heaps of free activities and live entertainment as part of the City of Greater Bendigo’s annual FunLoong Fun Day from 11am to 2pm on Saturday October 17, 2026.
Director Healthy Communities and Environments Jess Howard said FunLoong Fun Day continued to be one of the City’s most popular family events, with a great range of activities for children and families.
“FunLoong Fun Day is all about creating opportunities for children and families to play, connect and share a fantastic day out together in the heart of Bendigo,” Ms Howard said.
“With a huge range of free activities and entertainment on offer, there’s something for children of all ages to enjoy in a fun and welcoming space.
“FunLoong Fun Day is one of Greater Bendigo’s most popular free family events and a wonderful way to celebrate National Children’s Week.
“We’re looking forward to seeing local families turn out in big numbers once again and encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the day.”
Highlights of the 2026 FunLoong Fun Day program include face painting, animal farm, bubble fun, roving characters, slot cars, airbrush tattoos, henna painting, craft activities, free fruit, giveaways and more.
There will be a Welcome to Country and didgeridoo performance on the Hargreaves Street Mall live stage as well as other live performances by the Bendigo Chinese Association and Hiphopportunities for Youth Inc. Don’t miss live performances including The Blurbs from Min Miles and Co and the Dance Dragon Dance show from Scotts Mascots and Costumes.
The Zone Open Street in Williamson Street will feature a chair-o-plane ride, jumping castle, inspired tennis and bike riding, as well as displays by Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police.
The Kangaroo Flat Rotary Club will be selling sausages and vegie burgers for only $2.50 each and the Coliban Water refill station will also be available for people to refill their water bottles.
To safely accommodate the event, the Hargreaves Street Mall and a portion of Williamson Street between Hargreaves Street and Lyttleton Terrace will be temporarily closed to traffic during FunLoong Fun Day. Please observe local detour signage.
This is a not to be missed annual event with plenty of free fun entertainment and activities on offer for local families.
