Free information session for people recently diagnosed with dementia and their family

Have you been recently diagnosed with dementia or are caring for a loved one who has been recently diagnosed with dementia? Dementia Australia is holding a free education session for residents living in the Coffs Harbour area.

There are estimated to be more than 146,000 people living with dementia in NSW and more than 4,500 of these people are estimated to live in the federal electorate of Cowper.
Dementia Australia’s Recently Diagnosed with Dementia session is a free group information session that will help you find out about the support, services and programs available.
The session is suitable for people who have recently been diagnosed with dementia, or who are caring for someone who has recently been diagnosed with dementia, and would like the opportunity to ask questions about dementia.
Participants will also be given an understanding of ways to live positively with dementia.
The session will be held at Carers NSW Australia, 2/2 Lyster Street, Coffs Harbour on Thursday 21 March from 10am to 1pm.
