Legal Aid NSW will operate the service in partnership with community legal centres, the Law Society of NSW and the NSW Bar Association. More than 200 lawyers and firms are offering pro-bono services and others are anticipated to follow suit.

The service provides legal assistance for people navigating insurance claims, tenancy issues, financial hardship, social security entitlements and employment issues.

To access the free service, individuals, households and business people can call the helpline on 1800 801 529 and be referred to an appropriate lawyer.
