As stated by Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti:
“With the warm spring weather well and truly upon us plus free same-day travel and entry for kids, there’s no better time to get the family together and head over to Rottnest Island over the weekend.
“There’s so much to enjoy across the weekend, with live entertainment, arts and craft activities, plus eco-education and wildlife sessions, so I definitely encourage Western Australians to get online and register for their free tickets.
“Quokkas are a Western Australian icon and hundreds of thousands of people flock to Rottnest Island each year to see the world’s happiest animals, so it’s fitting they get their own special event to celebrate the arrival of new baby joeys.”
