National Tree Day 31 July/Local Government week Monday 1 August to Sunday 7 August
Dungog Shire Council provides invaluable services to the local community, 365 days a year. Local Government Week is an opportunity to promote Council and what it gives back to the community. While many people are aware that Councils manage rates, roads and rubbish, the breath and diversity of their work often goes unrecognised.
In conjunction with National Tree Day (Sunday 31 July) a FREE tree giveaway to celebrate Local Government Week is again happening in 2022, Dungog Shire Council supports every year this fantastic environmental program with the giveaway of 250 native tube stock trees to residents of the Dungog Local Government Area ( maximum of 3 trees per household).
Community Groups and schools are also invited to participate ( maximum 25 trees per group) please contact council for your voucher.
Trees can be collected from Riverdene Nursery East Gresford, Clarence Town Post Office or Council’s Administration Building from Thursday 28 July to Saturday 30 July ( until stock exhausted) .
All trees are native tube stock.
