Griffith businesses and interested community members are invited to enjoy a fresh shot of economic insight at Economic EXpresso, a free information session hosted by Griffith City Council next month.
Taking place on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, the event will feature Matthew Nichol, Director of REMPLAN, who will present the latest economic data and key trends shaping the Griffith region.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into local employment trends, Gross Regional Product, industry performance and other key economic indicators, providing a timely snapshot of the region’s economic landscape.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran, encouraged local businesses, industry representatives and community stakeholders to attend.
“Understanding the latest economic data helps businesses, organisations and Council make informed decisions about the future,” Mayor Curran said.
“This session is a great opportunity to hear directly from one of Australia’s leading regional economic analysts and gain a clearer picture of the opportunities and challenges facing our region.”
While the coffee might come from a pod, the information will be freshly brewed, with the presentation offering practical, up-to-date insights into Griffith’s economy.
The free session will be held on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 from 1pm to 2pm in the Multipurpose Room at Griffith City Library. Afternoon tea will be provided.
