FuelWatch advises Perth motorists to fill up before price rise 28 September

WA Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety

The average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) is set to increase by over 17 cents per litre (cpl) to 163.0 cpl tomorrow, so FuelWatch is encouraging Perth drivers, if they can, to fill up today to save money.

FuelWatch advises that on Wednesday 29 September 2021, some branded retailers are making large hikes to their ULP price: Coles Express hiking by 39 cpl up to 181.9 cpl; 7-Eleven and BP up to 178.9 cpl; and United up to 166.9 cpl. Caltex Woolworths, Puma and Vibe sites are making smaller hikes to 156.9 cpl, 156.7 cpl and 155.9 cpl, respectively.

If you need to fill up tomorrow, use FuelWatch as there are still over 20 sites selling below 140 cpl. The difference between the highest and lowest priced sites is 49 cpl, which means you can save up to $29 on a 60 litre tank of fuel.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 138.3 cpl at Vibe Upper Swan IGA Xpress in the East;
  • 132.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 135.3 cpl at Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
  • 136.7 cpl at Vibe Bedford in the North.
