Funding available for new art projects

This artwork by Rachael Lee is an example of works produced in the City of Logan through Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grants.

Logan City Council is now accepting applications for the latest round of funding under the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

Individuals, groups and organisations can apply for grants up to a maximum of $8000.

RADF funding is open to professional and emerging professional artists and arts workers.

Arts professionals from all forms, including dance, music, design, museum and cultural heritage, new media, visual arts, writing and theatre, are encouraged to apply.

Applications will close at 5pm on Tuesday, October 15 for projects starting after January 1, 2020.

Since its inception in 2001, Logan City Council has conducted 43 funding rounds.

Funding of $77,231 has been allocated towards 12 creative projects over the past year.

Local historic research, art installations and community workshops have all been funded through past RADF grants.

RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
