NSW Government

Screen NSW is offering a share in $1 million of grants for organisations and councils to stage their own film festivals across Sydney.

The Film Festival Fund supports events such as public screenings, festivals and tours and give audiences across Sydney the opportunity to experience quality screen content.

Arts Minister Ben Franklin said the funding will enhance experiences for audiences with new film festival opportunities and events, while accelerating the economic and social recovery of CBDs across Sydney, Western Sydney and South-Western Sydney.

“The NSW Government is proud to support film festivals and the arts and cultural sectors, which have faced unpredictable challenges over the past two years,” Mr Franklin said.

“We want to support Sydney’s unique and exciting film festivals and ensure more communities have access to these great experiences. If you have a great idea or festival plan, I encourage you to apply.”

Funding applications close on Wednesday 4 May 2022.
