Further arrests after series of aggravated burglaries

Southern Metro Crime Team detectives have arrested a further three people as part of their ongoing investigation into a series of incidents across Melbourne.

18-year-old Shepparton man Ali Sari was arrested in the Kingsbury area about 9.45 this evening.

A 16-year-old boy from Broadmeadows and a 20-year-old Beveridge man were also arrested at the scene.

All three remain in custody and are assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are still seeking two other offenders in relation to the alleged aggravated burglaries and carjackings across Melbourne.

The incidents include:

• An aggravated burglary on Pasadena Crescent, Bentleigh East about 8.40pm on 26 May;

• An aggravated carjacking in Anderson Street, Port Melbourne about 9pm on May 26;

• An aggravated burglary on Ivy Close, Derrimut about 12.10am on 27 May; and

• An aggravated burglary in Avoca Avenue, Mernda about 4am on 28 May.

The outstanding offenders are believed to be driving a stolen black Honda HRV station wagon with registration 1EY 3DI.
