Further CCTV released after armed robbery in Kingsford

Investigators have released further CCTV and continue to appeal for public assistance following an armed robbery in Sydney’s east earlier this week.

About midnight on Wednesday (28 October 2020), police were called to a supermarket on Anzac Parade, Kingsford, after an unknown man – armed with a knife – entered a store and threatened the employee, a 21-year-old woman.

The man stole the cash register before running away. The woman was uninjured.

Police have been told two members of the public confronted the man on Harbourne Lane; however, they were also threatened.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detectives have released further CCTV of a man they would like to speak with, who they believe can assist with inquiries.

He is depicted in the vision as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of solid build, wearing a black cap, black jacket, grey pants and grey sneakers.
