Further charges after Corio stabbing

Homicide Squad detectives have charged three more men as their investigation into the death of an 18-year-old Bell Post Hill man continues.

The further charges follow an altercation between two groups of youths on Goulburn Avenue just after 6.30pm on 23 August.

On the night police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Brookfield and charged him with intentionally cause serious injury, affray and commit indictable offence while on bail.

An 18-year-old Melton man was also arrest on the night and charged with affray, possess drug of dependence and commit indictable offence while on bail.

Both were remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

A 19-year-old man from Bell Park was arrested on Wednesday 26 August and charged with violent disorder, affray and commit indictable offence whilst on bail and has appeared at Geelong Magistrates’ Court.

Today a number of warrants were executed and a 19-year-old man from Norlane has been charged with violent disorder, affray and commit indictable offence whilst on bail he was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

A 19-year-old man from Corio has been charged with violent disorder and affray and bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court.

A 19-year-old man from Whittington has been charged with violent disorder and affray and bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court.

Police believe all parties involved in the incident are known to each other and investigations surrounding the affray are ongoing.
