Georges River Council takes home Gold for third year running at 2023 Australasian Reporting Awards

Georges River Council

Georges River Council was awarded with a Gold Award at the 2023 Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) held in June 2023 for Council’s 2021/2022 Annual Report.

Gold Award reports are considered model reports for other organisations to follow and this is the third consecutive Gold Award Council has received.

To win a Gold Award, a report must demonstrate overall excellence in annual reporting, provide high quality coverage of the criteria set by the ARA and full disclosure of key aspects of the organisation’s core business.

The Awards are open to organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors across Australia, New Zealand and countries in the Asia-Pacific region and measured against global best practice.

This Gold Award recognises the significant effort by Georges River staff in producing an annual report of high quality in both content and design.

Georges River Council Mayor Nick Katris said, “A lot of hard work goes into delivering the Annual Report so I would like to congratulate all the Council staff who helped put it together.

“Receiving another Gold Award is a fantastic achievement and is a testament of staff’s hard work and dedication to our community.”
