German Sheppard puppies stolen in Thomastown

Mill Park police are investigating the theft of four German Sheppard puppies from a home in Thomastown yesterday.

Investigators have been told the occupant of a house on Smith Avenue heard a knock at her front door about 2.30pm.

She answered the door to an unknown male, described as tall with a solid build and tanned skin, who asked if her neighbours were home.

After the occupant closed the door she went out to her backyard and noticed four of her 6-week-old puppies missing.

The side back gate to her property was wide open when it is always locked.

Police have released images of two of the puppies, which are black and a mixture of black and brown.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
