Getting Multicultural Victorians In Festive Mood

Victorians will be able to attend hundreds of festivals and events celebrating the state’s cultural diversity thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs Richard Wynne today announced that more than 350 events will share in more than $1.3 million through the 2019-20 Multicultural Festivals and Events and Hindu Festivals and Events programs.

The initiatives support culturally diverse festivals, performances and events for all Victorians to enjoy.

Some of the funded events include:

  • The Wodonga Multicultural Festival
  • The Latin Street Carnaval in St Kilda
  • Lankan Fest in the Melbourne CBD
  • Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival at Fed Square
  • Nawroz Festival in Dandenong
  • Ballarat’s Holi Festival 2020
