The swimming season is set to kick-off at the Gilgandra Swimming Pool this Saturday, 3 October 2026.
Between October to December, the Pool will be open from:
- Monday – Friday:
- 5:30am to 9:00am – Lap Swimmers
- 12:00pm to 6:00pm – General Public
- 7:00pm to 9:00pm – Lap Swimmers
- Saturday – Sunday
- 5:30am to 9:00am – Lap Swimmers
- 12:00pm to 6:00pm – General Public
- 7:00pm to 9:00pm – Lap Swimmers
Season passes (tags) are available to purchase via the Service NSW office in Miller Street. See below 2026 Swimming Pool entrance fees.

Gilgandra Recreation Centre Project Update
Planning and design for the Gilgandra Recreation Centre (GRC) within the Hunter Park Precinct is progressing, in close development with the Hunter Park Precinct stakeholder group, including key considerations of access to and from Hunter Park, interactions and connections between the different activity areas, user group priorities and operational efficiencies.
Construction is expected to commence in 2027, with the existing facility expected to close for the 2027/28 swimming season while works takes place.
