Quotes from His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory.

“Congratulations to our 14 outstanding Territorians recognised tonight. Many of whom are being recognised for their contributions to health and emergency response.

“Recent events have shown us how incredible the Northern Territory is in an emergency and how we band together, support each other to get the job done.

“I have the honour of having worked alongside some of tonight’s awardees during the pandemic and I know that some were again involved in responding to the tragedy at Melville Island.

“Every recipient tonight has made an amazing contribution to the Territory in their field. The Australian Honours and Awards system is based on public nominations, so you can be sure that your community thinks you’re amazing too!

“I continue to encourage the community to nominate people they know whose work has made their community, their town or the whole Territory a great place we are proud to call home.”
