Nine community groups have shared in almost $32,000 to enhance the lives of Cairns communities.
Community Services Grants are designed to enable community groups and organisations to design, implement and complete projects that enhance the lives of the communities of the Cairns Regional Council area.
Grant recipients:
- Guides Queensland for the provision of marquees – $2,321
- Access Community Housing Company Limited for the ACHC Tenant Engagement Program – $2,079
- Tennis Queensland for the Aces for All project – $4,000
- Braveheart’s Foundation Ltd for the Braveheart’s Cairns Technology Update – $3,750
- Cairns Yacht Club to provide support to replace the Sail Training Fleet – $8,000
- COUCH Wellness Centre for the Carers for Carers Program – $4,000
- North Queensland Branch Inc Surf Lifesaving Association of QLD for the Youth Surf Sport Training and Mentoring Program – $3,000
- Sacred Tribe Queensland Incorporated for creative workshops – $2,500
- Life Education Centre Foundation Queensland for the provision of a Soundfield System for the Cairns Mobile Learning Centre – $2,300
