Greek culture to be celebrated in Perth

  • Thousands to celebrate and experience Greek culture
  • Perth Greek Festival supported by the McGowan Government for $65,000
  • The best of timeless and modern Greek culture will be celebrated at the 2019 Perth Greek Festival this October.

    Presented by the Hellenic Community of Western Australia, the family friendly festival will run from Saturday October 19, 2019, and culminate with the Greek Festival Day on Saturday October 26, 2019 with an outdoor festival at Russell Square in Northbridge.

    More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the Festival Day, which will feature a mouth-watering array of food and cooking demonstrations, as well as dancing, market stalls, and vibrant performances and entertainment for the whole family.

    Other highlights of the Perth Greek Festival include a:

    • Greek Heritage Walking Trail;
    • Greek Kitchen Masterclass;
    • Planted, Plucked and Pickled Olive Workshop; and a
    • Greek Movie Night.

    The McGowan Government is supporting this community festival with $5000 from the Office of Multicultural Interests, $30,000 from Healthway and $30,000 from Lotterywest.
