Greville Street and Beatty Avenue Summer Dining program

Stonnington Presents Greville Street and Beatty Avenue Summer Dining program for 2021/22

Stonnington has come alive again with the sounds of laughter, chatter and the familiar clatter of plates and cutlery. That’s right, as of Friday 22 October, the City of Stonnington welcomed the Victorian Government’s decision to re-open hospitality, retail and other parts of the economy.

To facilitate businesses to re-open in line with the Victorian Governments re-opening roadmap, the Greville Street and Beatty Avenue Summer Dining programs have returned for 2021/2022 offering people the long-awaited opportunity to socialise in a fun and safe environment.

The program has been tweaked this year in response to feedback from local residents and businesses, and will run from 1 November 2021 – 30 April 2022.

Beatty Avenue, Armadale

A purpose built, on-street dining area will be provided for enjoyment until 10pm each evening on Beatty Avenue. To accommodate this, Beatty Avenue will be reduced to one traffic lane with traffic entering from Malvern Road from Malvern Road to Rose Street.

On-street parking will be maintained adjacent to the station and a Taxi/Uber drop-off and pick-up point will also be implemented.

Participating businesses include:

Non-hospitality businesses in this section of Beatty Avenue remain open for business and are looking forward to welcoming you at Beatty Avenue again.

Greville Street, Prahran

Greville Street will be closed to traffic between Macquarie Street and Izett Street every Thursday from 4pm until Sunday 11pm, up to the end of April 2022, opening up the road for people to enjoy.

Participating businesses include:

Non-hospitality businesses in this section of Greville Street remain open for business with traffic and parking restrictions remaining unchanged from Monday through to Thursday 4pm. Parking is also available at nearby Prahran Square.
