Grievous bodily harm appeal at Burleigh Heads, QLD

Police have released vision of a man as part of investigations into the grievous bodily harm of a 23-year-old man at Burleigh Heads last weekend.

Around 1am on Sunday September 25, a 23-year-old Palm Beach man was involved in a verbal altercation with another man, outside a takeaway food outlet on Gold Coast Highway.

The 23-year-old was punched in the face. He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital missing at least four teeth and suffering a broken jaw, requiring surgery.

The other man fled the scene on foot.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone who may be able to help identify the man to contact police.

He is described as aged in his twenties and was wearing an oversized black t-shirt, black jeans with torn knees, black shoes with white soles and white laces and a distinctive designer cap with two tiger heads printed on the front, at the time of the assault
