Grievous bodily harm charge at Ipswich

Police have charged a 30-year-old man following an alleged wounding incident in North Booval at Ipswich yesterday, September 20.

Emergency crews were called to the Jacaranda Street property at approximately 1.30pm following reports of an altercation between two people.

Upon arrival, a 29-year-old Booval man was located with a stab wound.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

A 30-year-old North Booval man was taken into police custody at a South Station Road address a short time later.

He has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court today, September 21.
