Grievous Bodily Harm investigation at Bald Hills

Police investigating the serious assault of 16-year-old boy at Bald Hills train station last month are appealing for public assistance to locate the man involved.

Preliminary inquiries indicate around 6.40pm on Tuesday September 7, a male disembarked an inbound train on platform 1 and approached the boy, who was sitting with another boy on the top of the footbridge stairs.

The man demanded the victim hand over his wallet, punching and kicking him several times when he did not comply.

The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 178cm tall, with a muscular build and short black hair and was last seen on foot heading toward Grand Street.

The boy was transported to hospital with serious head injuries, including a fractured eye socket.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact police.
