Guildford store fire

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information to assist in their investigation into a suspicious fire at an antique store located on James Street in Guildford last night, Saturday 25 December 2021.

About 11pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the fire and on arrival found the store and the rear of the property fully engulfed with fire.

The fire destroyed one business and effected five neighbouring businesses with smoke and water damage. The damage bill is estimated at $2M.

Arson Squad are investigating the cause of the fire which is being treated as suspicious.

Investigators urge anyone with information relating to this fire, or who has mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the area around the time of the fire, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can also be reported online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. People reporting information via Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous if they wish.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
