The Gumeracha Tennis Club is the recipient of $220,000 in Federal funding that they will use for a full reconstruction and resurfacing of their courts.
Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie MP, announced the news yesterday, citing a need to upgrade outdated facilities across the district. She specified that with subsurface ground movement the Gumeracha courts were in particular need for help.
The upgrade to the courts will assist not only the sporting groups that use the space, but the wider community.
