Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Gwambygine (between York and Beverley) today, Thursday 23 September 2021.
Around 7.25am, a Hino bus was travelling south along Gwambygine Road East when the vehicle left the road and slide down an embankment.
The bus driver, a 56-year-old man, died at the scene from injuries received in the crash.
An eight year old boy who was a passenger in the bus received minor injuries.
Investigators urge anyone with information, mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the crash, or of the Hino bus travelling in the area prior to the crash, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
