Police are investigating the theft of hot water systems from a trade warehouse in Thomastown last month.
Investigators have been told a vehicle was driven into the business on Dalton Road around 4.50pm on 25 February.
The two male occupants exited the Ford Falcon sedan and loaded three Instant hot water systems into the vehicle.
They attempted to drive away without paying and staff noticed this and began lowering the roller doors to block the exit.
The driver has accelerated at a fast rate of speed, crashing through the roller door, narrowly missing several customers inside the store.
It’s believed the vehicle used was stolen from a property in St Albans earlier that day.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
