This year’s Have a Go Day features over 230 activities, including tai chi, yoga, dancing, land sailing and canoeing. It also offers free health checks, fitness activities, cooking demonstrations and a range of music and dance performances.

The event runs from 9am-3pm, with a free shuttle bus service operating from Burswood Station and Burswood Park over the course of the day.

Have a Go Day 2019 is coordinated by the Seniors Recreation Council, with support from the State Government. For more information, visit: https://www.srcwa.asn.au

As stated by Seniors and Ageing Minister Mick Murray:

“Have a Go Day gets bigger and better every year, always offering a wide range of community activities and social outlets for older Western Australians to explore.

“There have never been more social and recreational options available to older people than there are today – with Have a Go Day providing the ideal one-stop shop to try what’s on offer out in our communities.

“Nobody embodies the spirit of Have a Go Day quite as strongly as Seniors Recreation Council President Hugh Rogers – and I commend him and his team for once again putting on this terrific event.”
