HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE NAME OF A CREEK IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS LGA

The Geographical Names Board is seeking community feedback on a proposal to name a creek in Blaxland and Glenbrook.

Chair of the Geographical Names Board Narelle Underwood said feedback is being sought on the proposal to:

• rename the section of Lapstone Creek extending east from Glenbrook Lagoon, to just north of Lennox Bridge as Brookside Creek, and;
• name the currently un-named section from just north of Lennox Bridge that runs west, adjacent to Mitchells Pass as Lapstone Creek.

The name Brookside references a former property near where the creek flows.

Mrs Underwood said the Board is encouraging community
