Have your say on restrictive practice authorisation process by end of August

The current NSW Restrictive Practice Authorisation (RPA) policy applies to behaviour support delivered by NDIS service providers to NDIS participants in NSW. This is an interim model that ends on 30 June 2020.Overseen by the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the NSW Government has been seeking input into a future Restrictive Practice Authorisation (RPA) model for NSW. Submissions close on Saturday, 31 August.After consultation with members engaged in implementing restrictive practice, NDS has prepared a submission that calls for a more robust approach to the approval of restrictive practices that promotes the human rights of people with a disability.
