Health Minister calls on GPs to help get nation vaccinated

Australian Medical Association

In a meeting late yesterday, the Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt asked AMA President Dr Omar Khorshid, alongside leaders of other medical bodies, to pass on a message to doctors to ‘pull out all stops’ to get people vaccinated.

Minister Hunt said now the country had extra supply of vaccines, he is asking GPs to make extra efforts to reach out to patients who have not yet been vaccinated – especially those who are vulnerable or who may be vaccine hesitant.

The Minister thanked doctors for their work to date, saying he hoped doctors would do all that they could to get jabs into arms. He asked the RAGCP, ACRRM , the RDAA and the AMA to communicate this to their members.
