Help choose a path in new survey

Walking and cycling survey

Do you think there should be more paths in your neighbourhood so you can walk to school or work? Or is there an area where you would like to see designated bike lanes?

Whether you prefer to pound the pavement or pedal it out, Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking your feedback in a new cycling and walking survey.

Councillor for Infrastructure Tony Williams said the results of the survey will be used to inform a region-wide Cycling and Walking Strategy that is currently being developed.

“We’re still in the early stages of developing the Strategy, but the idea is that this would guide where future paths and cycling lanes will go,” said Councillor Williams.

“There’s a lot of information that feeds into the planning process for this Strategy, but one of the most important elements is your feedback.

“We really want to learn more about how you use the paths and bike lanes we already have, and where you would like to see more.

“To be able to deliver what you want now and in the future, we need insight into how you use the paths and what you do or don’t like so we can continue improving.

“Your feedback will have a big impact on what we focus on going forward, so I would strongly encourage everyone to take 10 minutes to complete the survey and let us know what matters to you.”
