Help make Lithgow More Accessible and Inclusive for Everyone

Lithgow Council

Lithgow City Council has developed a survey to ask members of the community some questions about life in the Lithgow local government area for people with a disability. From this feedback, the Council can better plan and influence improvements to public facilities and services.

This survey is part of the community consultation that will inform Lithgow City Council’s new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). The Plan will define the actions Council will take to reduce barriers for people with disability so they can better participate in all areas of community life. The new plan will guide Council’s work over the next 4 years.

More than 1,582 community members in Lithgow identified at the 2021 Census as a person in need of the assistance of a carer, family or friends to get about their daily life.

We want to hear your voice if:

  • You have a disability
  • Someone in your family has a disability
  • You are a carer for someone with a disability
  • You are a disability service provider
  • You have ideas for making Lithgow a better place for people with disabilities

The survey is now open at the following link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RM5J2QH until Friday 22 September 2023.
