Help Needed to Identify Suspect

Police are renewing an appeal for public information in relation to a robbery which occurred at Elizabeth Downs in 2019.

Just before 9am on Sunday 30 June, a man entered the gaming room of a tavern on Midway Road. The man remained in the gaming room for an extended period before committing the robbery, his face was captured on CCTV. The man pulled a bandana over his face, removed a baseball bat from his clothing and demanded money from staff.

The man was last seen riding a BMX style bike away from the scene. No one was physically injured from the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, medium build and about 175cm tall. He was wearing a black beanie, a grey jacked with black sleeves and a black hooded top underneath, with black pants and light coloured gloves. The man placed in the cash in a black bag with the word “Boystown” printed on it.
