Heroin, Cannabis and $100,000 cash seized in Richmond

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives have seized alleged heroin, cannabis, a manual press and approximately $100,000 cash from a house in Richmond.

Police carried out a search warrant on Highett Street as part of the Tasking Unit investigation about 5pm on Thursday, 30 June.

Two men were found inside the property, and with the help of the Dog Squad, police located a quantity of alleged heroin and cannabis, approximately $100,000 in cash and a manual press machine.

The two men were arrested at the scene.

A 42-year-old Richmond man was charged with drug trafficking and possessing proceeds of crime.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

A 42-year-old Port Melbourne man was charged with drug trafficking and has been released on bail.
