Hidden Forest Festival Supports Local Business

Excitement is building Shellharbour City Council’s Hidden Forest Festival, which returns April 9 for its second year.

Thanks to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, singing and dancing will be permitted at the outdoor festival, setting the scene for a wonderful day and night of fun in Blackbutt Forest.

The Hidden Forest Festival is an all-ages music event, with a line-up of national and local artists including headliner Something for Kate mixed with incredible emerging talent such as Ziggy Ramo and the truly unique performance of Sahara Beck.

There will be local food stalls, craft beer and wine, handmade markets – get your hair braided with Courtneyanne or maybe delve in to your future with psychic medium Kerry Nelson.

This year’s local food stalls will include Amigos Mexican, RJ Vegan Food, Wollongong’s Balinese Spice Magic and more.

There will also be sweet treats available from Gelatissimo Shellharbour, OMG Decadent Donuts Illawarra and Dos Churros.

Drink options feature the finest of the Illawarra’s local producers including a boutique gin and vodka bar by Headlands Distilling Co, craft beer by Five Barrel Brewing and a selection of local Simall Wines from The Wine Hub Wollongong.

Shellharbour City Council Mayor Chris Homer said the festival would be a fantastic day with great music, food, friends and fun while supporting local vendors.

“I look forward to the festival and celebrating what is great about Shellharbour City, our local businesses and the South Coast region,” Mayor Homer said.

“It will be great to finally get out, have a dance and celebrate great music together.”

NSW Dine & Discover vouchers are accepted, making it an incredibly affordable day out. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.hiddenforest.com.au/tickets.
