Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section continue to seek information regarding a serious crash that occurred in Hillarys on Wednesday 3 May 2023 and which has now become a fatal crash.
About 7:50pm, a silver VW Golf hatch and a cyclist were travelling north along Whitfords Avenue when they collided near the intersection of John Wilkie Tarn.
The 64-year-old male cyclist sustained critical head injuries and was conveyed to hospital. He died on Thursday 11 May 2023.
The 19-year-old female driver of the VW Golf was not injured in the crash.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone who saw the crash, particularly the driver of a dark coloured SUV or similar, who was in the area about 8pm. Anyone with any information relating to this crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
