The Hindley Street Police Station is moving to a new location around mid 2021.
The existing station has been occupied at 26 Hindley Street since 2005. Acting Assistant Commissioner John DeCandia said the new station will have a larger work area for staff that is more fit for purpose.
“The new tenancy will provide substantial improvement to Hindley Street operations, including an improved front counter and public interview rooms to manage operational activity,” he said.
“The new station will be fit for purpose which will enable more effective operations, including expanded CCTV wall for viewing incidents, incident room, and facilities for police officers.”
