Police have charged a 54-year-old man over the alleged indecent treatment of a girl at Mudgeeraba from 2013 to 2019.
After receiving information on February 8 relating to the alleged historical sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl, detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit commenced an investigation.
It is alleged that the offending began in 2013 when the girl was aged six-years-old and continued until early this year.
Yesterday, a 54-year-old Biggera Waters man was arrested and has now been charged with six counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today.
Investigations continue.
