Detectives have charged a 29-year-old man following an alleged incident in a Cannon Hill home yesterday (October 8).
Just before 2.00pm, police were called to a property on Aster Street to conduct a welfare check on the occupants.
Police found an unresponsive 59-year-old man inside the building who was later pronounced deceased.
A 29-year-old man who resided at the address was apprehended by police a short time later in Carina and has subsequently charged with Murder.
He is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
