Detectives have launched a homicide investigation after the body of a man was located at an Ashmore property this morning (February 12).
Police were called to a Lillian Crescent address at approximately 8.45am, to conduct a welfare check.
Upon arrival officers located a body, believed to be a 62-year-old man, in the backyard.
The property was immediately declared a crime scene.
Specialist scientific and forensic officers are in attendance conducting examinations.
A Mobile Police Facility has been deployed to the scene to assist investigations.
Police appeal to anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in the vicinity of Lillian Crescent overnight and this morning to come forward.
