Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a man in Booval this morning.
Around 9am emergency services were called to a unit in Bergin Street to treat a man with a stomach wound.
A 29-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life threating injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
A crime scene has been declared with scientific and scenes of crime officers processing the scenes and uniform and detectives canvassing the areas.
A man is assisting police with their enquiries.
