Homicide Squad detectives are currently at the scene of a fatal collision which occurred in Yannathan, near Lang Lang this morning.
A man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene after being struck by a vehicle travelling on Heads Road just after midnight.
Detectives will continue to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the collision with the assistance of Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives.
The driver a 33-year-old man remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
