Hotel robbery at Ethelton, South Australia

Police are investigating an overnight robbery at an Ethelton pub.

About 12.30am on Saturday 12 October, two men entered the gaming room of the Carlisle Tavern on Carlisle Street, Ethelton. One of the men was armed with an axe, the other had a knife. They threatened staff and patrons and stole cash.

One patron suffered a minor injury to her hand when she was knocked to the ground during the robbery. She did not require medical treatment and there were no other reported injuries.

Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Axe, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Crime scene investigators and detectives attended the scene overnight.

The two men wore masks to cover their faces, but are described as of Aboriginal appearance, aged in their 20s, wearing black clothing.
