Police are investigating a fire at a home in Bowden early this morning.
About 1.20am, police and MFS were called to Thirteenth Street after reports of a house on fire.
When patrols arrived the house was well alight, neighbouring houses were evacuated as a precaution but thankful the fire didn’t spread. MFS extinguished the fire but the unoccupied house was extensively damaged.
Police believe the fire was deliberately lit, Fire Cause Investigators are examining the scene.
