Firefighters were called to reports of a house fire at 1.08pm on Friday 1 November.
Smoke was visible from the nearby Peters Hill fire tower.
Crews responded from Modewarre, Winchelsea, Belmont, Anglesea, Grovedale, Stonehaven, Wurdale and Barrabool brigades.
The house was fully involved and as a result was completely destroyed. No occupants were home at the time.
The fire was deemed under control at 1.43pm.
Commander Mark Sinkinson said that the fire was contained to the house and there were no injuries.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
