Limited transport can make everyday life harder
For people who cannot easily get to work, appointments, training, social activities or community events, a lack of mobility can become a major barrier to independence. It can also make loneliness and social isolation harder to overcome.
That is why driver training can be about much more than getting a licence.
For many people, learning to drive can create new pathways to employment, confidence, social connection and community participation.
Through Tribe Drive, Tribe Social Belonging is helping people in Redcliffe gain independence through driver training and improved community mobility, with support from the ETC Community Support Fund.
