How might we use our laneways differently?

Little Belgrave and Savages laneways are set to receive a glow up and we want you to tell us what you’d like to see in these spaces.

Come along to our Chalk Up Pop up, grab some chalk and a cupcake on us, and share some of your ideas on how we can transform our laneways! We want these laneways to be vibrant, safe and give the community something to smile about.

The Chalk Up Pop Up will be held at Little Belgrave Lane next to Aboriginal Employment Strategy on Thursday 4 August from 10am until 5pm.

Both Little Belgrave and Savages laneways will be receiving new safety and decorative treatments through revamped pavement surfaces, water mains renewal, public art, lighting and upgraded CCTV thanks to state government funding.

Council has engaged arts consultants Creative Community Projects who will be facilitating the pop up.

The support for this event is another example of Council’s commitment to a community vision that “our people are given the opportunities and infrastructure to build a safe, welcoming and sustainable community.”

We can’t wait to hear all your great ideas! See you on Thursday.
